New Constituency Boundaries
The new Crewe and Nantwich Parliamentary Constituency boundaries reflect the growth of the population in the north of the constituency, this has created a geographically smaller constituency but with a concentrated population.
The incumbent MP Dr Kieran Mullan has jumped ship, perhaps before being pushed, he believes the changes will be detrimental to his chances of re-election as they have created more of a ‘swing seat’. The changes represent a small change in actual voter numbers even though they do represent a sizeable geographic change.
Connor Naismith- Labour Parliamentary Candidate believes the changes do better reflect the local needs of Crewe, Nantwich and the surrounding villages and will assist the next MP in concentrating on those needs.
