I am delighted to share the 2026 National Policy Forum (NPF) Annual Report.

Before you read it, here is a quick reminder of the focus of this year’s consultation.

The six policy commissions:

01 Kickstart economic growth
02 Make Britain a clean energy superpower
03 Safer streets
04 Break down barriers to opportunity
05 Build an NHS fit for the future
06 Britain reconnected

The report sets out the work of our six policy commissions and their conclusions from this year’s consultation.

This year’s NPF in numbers

14 weeks of consultation
Almost 1,600 submissions from individual Labour Party members, CLPs, branches, affiliates, businesses, charities, civil society organisations, think tanks and members of the public
More than 50 organisations and people with lived experience attended our NPF events
7 interactive members’ events, with almost 300 Labour Party members taking part

I want to say thank you to everyone who made a submission, joined a roundtable, contributed to the work of our commissions, or organised and attended a policy event, including those held by CLPs and branches across our regions and nations.

I’ve been so impressed by the energy, commitment and ideas of Labour Party members, affiliates and stakeholders, as well as our brilliant NPF representatives, who have worked with such dedication throughout.

Thank you,

Ellie Reeves
Chair of the National Policy Forum
