Since being elected in July, our MP, Connor Naismith, has been working hard to deliver on his local priorities:
Rebuilding Leighton Hospital:Secured government commitment to rebuild and backed the NHS’s largest funding increase since 2010.
Neighbourhood Policing: Raised anti-social behaviour issues and worked with Cheshire Police to address local concerns.
Cost of Living: Supported raising the minimum wage to £12.21/hour, strengthened tenants’ rights on the Renters’ Rights Bill Committee and backed free school breakfast clubs from 2025.
Reviving High Streets: Urged Cheshire East Council to use Labour-backed rental auction powers on Crewe’s empty shop units.
Public Transport: Helped secure a new Nantwich-Leighton Hospital bus route and importantly launched his #ConnectCrewe campaign to push for rail investment following HS2 Phase 2’s cancellation.
