I recognise the importance of giving my job as the Member of Parliament for Crewe and Nantwich my full attention. That’s why I have resigned my position as the Cheshire East councillor for Crewe West, meaning there will be a by-election on 05 September.
I am absolutely delighted that the Labour Party has selected Ben Wye as it’s candidate in that By-election.
Many residents will know Ben. He already works tirelessly for the ward on Crewe Town Council, and does a huge amount of work in the community for the Co-Op and other community groups like St Paul’s food bank, Crewe Clean Team, The Crewe Heritage Centre and others.
Ben will be a fantastic, strong voice for residents in Crewe West on Cheshire East Council. I can’t wait to help him get elected.
